광주U대회 개막식을 하루 앞둔 2일 오후 4시 대한민국 선수단과 온두라스, 리히텐슈타인, 몬테네그로, 아르메니아, 슬로바키아, 우크라이나, 인도 등과 함께 입촌식을 가졌다.
이번 입촌식에서 비보이의 공연등으로 흥을 돋구는 즐거운 분위기에서 여러국가 국가의 선수단들이 한곳에 모여(국기광장) 입촌식을 진행했다.
대한민국은 이번 광주U대회에서 21개 종목에서 선수 382명, 경기임원 97명, 본부임원 37명 등 총 516명의 선수단이 참가하며 종합3위를 목표로 하고 있다.
3일 오후 7시 광주U대회 주경기장(광주월드컵경기장)에서는 개회식이 열리며, 2일부터 수구, 배구, 축구는 예선경기를 시작했으며, 개막식 당일에서도 경기는 계속된다.
